Quicksilver Outer Reef Cruises

Experience the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver, one of Australia's most awarded reef cruise companies.

Travellers board and cruise on a high-speed air-conditioned catamaran with great comfort. Quicksilver takes visitors daily to their luxury and spacious floating platform located in the middle of beautiful Agincourt Reef, a jewel-like ribbon reef on the very outer edge.

Agincourt Reef is located at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef where special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ run parallel to the continental shelf. These ribbon reefs are considered one of the most pristine eco-systems of the Great Barrier Reef. The clear waters provide great underwater visibility which encourages coral growth and support beautiful marine life, making the location quite special for divers and snorkellers.

Quicksilver provides a great day for both swimmers and non-swimmers as the spacious platform offers many activities such as unlimited snorkelling, semi-submersible, underwater observatory, glass bottom boat and much more.

Extra activities include:

  • Introductory diving (for clients who never dived before)
  • Certified diving (qualified divers)
  • Marine Biologist snorkel safari (small group, guided by experienced marine biologist)
  • Ocean Walker (helmet diving as the air is delivered from the surface)
  • Helicopter scenic flights (admire the reef from 2,000 feet above the reef where clients can see the beautiful reef colors and hopefully some marine life such as sea turtles, whales, sting rays etc. Great opportunity to take beautiful photos)

A scenic helicopter flight is an experience that everyone enjoys. Quicksilver passengers can travel to and from the vessel by an amazing low helicopter flight where they get to see the reef from an unique angle. The reef colours are brighter from the air and there is also a chance to see some beautiful marine creatures such as stingrays, sea turtle, whales etc
