This is the complete reef and island experience!!! In an exciting cruise on a fast 45 minute catamaran ride Great Adventures takes visitors to the beautiful Green Island to enjoy two hours on this unique reef and rainforest coral cay.
Green Island is a beautiful coral cay on Australia's Great Barrier Reef with unique island rainforests, surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs and abundant marine life. During the 2 hours on Green Island snorkelling equipment is provided so visitors can explore the reef around the island which is located just off the beach.
After exploring the island the journey continues to Great Adventures spacious floating platform in the outer reef. The pontoon is suitable for all ages, swimmers and non-swimmers as the platform offers activities for people who want to get in the water and also for those one who prefer to stay dry.
The pontoon features undercover seating, tables to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, full bar facilities, sundeck, a swimming enclosure for children, change rooms with freshwater showers and scuba diving facilities with a semi-submerged platform. The main activities included are unlimited snorkelling, underwater observatory, semi-submersible coral viewing and reef education presentation.

Scenic helicopter flights are offered from and to the vessel and this is an amazing experience. Visitors fly over stunning reef locations and see the beautiful colours of the Great Barrier Reef.

All Divers: In accordance with the Australian diving law, ALL DIVERS must complete a medical questionnaire on board, before diving.
Flying after Diving: If only one dive is undertaken then a minimum of 12 hours is recommended before flying. If more than one dive is conducted in the day, an interval of 24 hours is recommended. This is not applicable for low helicopter flights over the reef.
Introductory Divers - NOTE: Certain medical conditions may prevent you from diving (e.g. Asthma, Heart Disease), please contact our office. Min. age to dive is 12 years.

Reef Tax: $6.50 is levied for all adults and children entering the Great Barrier Reef. This charge and other levies are INCLUDED in the cruise fares.
Passengers first cruise to Green Island, then later in the morning cruise to the outer reef and at the end of the day the return to Cairns is by an amazing low scenic flight over the reef.

This is the ultimate Reef & Island experience combining a low helicopter scenic flight from Cairns to Green Island, then to the outer reef and then back to Cairns! All passengers will definitely feel like a VIP.
Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.
Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is usually paid directly to the tour operator on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy. Some tour operators request full payment at the time of booking.
Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.
Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
