Cairns Outer Reef Pontoon (Platform) with Marine World

Marine World is a great pontoon launched in 2022. The pontoon is 1,003sqm with 3 levels and capacity to have 450 poeple on board but the numbers are kept at 250 maximum. The pontoon has 18 solar panels and 3 wind turbines so this way is powered by sustainable energy.

The vessel departs Cairns at 9am, returning at 17:00 to the marina. Travellers spend 5 hours exploring the reef. From all pontoon available in Cairns, Marine World provides the longest time at the reef.

The pontoon is located at a private location at Moore Reef, a reef that has less sediment in the water providing with good underwater visibility. Moore Reef is also known for having superior coral quality and diversity of reef life. Great for snorkellers and divers.

The platform offer travellers with a great range of activities such as unlimited snorkelling, semi-submersible tours, glass bottom boat tours, underwater observatory viewing, fish feeding and much more. This tour is suitable for all type of people and ages.

Please Note:
All Divers: In accordance with the Australian diving law, ALL DIVERS must complete a medical questionnaire on board, before diving.
Flying after Diving: If only one dive is undertaken then a minimum of 12 hours is recommended before flying. If more than one dive is conducted in the day, an interval of 24 hours is recommended. This is not applicable for low helicopter flights over the reef.
Introductory Divers - NOTE: Certain medical conditions may prevent you from diving (e.g. Asthma, Heart Disease), please contact our office.
Introductory Dive / Seabob Scooter / Helmet Diving - Minimum age is 12 years.

In this ultimate experience passengers travel to and from the Great Barrier Reef by a low helicopter scenic flight. Visitors fly out from Cairns to Reef Magic pontoon, spend 4 hours on Marine World and at the end of the day fly back to Cairns.

Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.

Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is usually paid directly to the tour operator on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy. Some tour operators request full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.

Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
