In this Atherton Tablelands Tour with Paronella Park Tour visitors are taken in an adventure to the beautiful World Heritage Wet Tropics of Wooroonooran National Park. Visitors travel through the Atherton Tablelands and visit all the local "must see" attractions such as the beautiful Lake Barrine (cruise optional), Millaa Millaa Falls, Curtain Fig Tree, Babinda Boulders and Paronella Park (Spanish Castle ruins - one man's inspiration and dream).

The day starts with visitors traveling south of Cairns in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle with the company of a local Naturalist guide. The guide along the way provides all clients on board with historical information about the area and also interesting information about the rainforest and wildlife. At the end of the tour guests will have much more knowledge about the beautiful Atherton Tablelands region.

Later in the day travellers are taken to the historical Paronella Park which is a heritage listed tourism attraction located at 120 kilometres south of Cairns. Paronella Park was built in the 1930s by José Paronella, a Spanish immigrant as a present to his Spanish wife, but he also opened the park to the public. Jose built many facilities such as tennis courts, a cinema, a ballroom etc, all inspired by Spanish castles. Paronella Park has received multiple Queensland tourism awards and is a National Trust listed property. It is privately owned and operated and Eco accredited.

Time Description
6:30 Coach pick up from Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation
Travel the Gillies Highway climbing 730 metres above sea level into the amazing Atherton Tablelands.
First stop is Lake Barrine Crater Lake National Park
Time for delicious freshly baked scones with jam & cream accompanied by locally grown & freshly brewed Tea and coffee (optional)
Join a 40 minute guided wild life cruise on the lake
Travel through extensive beef, dairy, sugar cane & other diverse types of farming areas & small villages (optional)
Next stop is The Curtin Fig Tree, an amazing feat of nature reaching 45+ metres up into the tropical rainforest canopy
Milla Milla Falls is the next destination where you swim under the cool waters falling 20 metres over an ancient
You travel down the Palmerstone Highway through sugar cane & banana fields to the coastal town of Innisfail
Time for a delicious Lunch at Roscoe's all you can eat Hot buffet (optional)
Next stop is Paronella Park where you will have approx 2hrs to explore the place
Quick stop at a local banana farm where you can purchase cheap bananas, papaya & home grown, homemade chocolate
Continue north bound to the small town of Babinda
45 minute stop at the Babinda Boulders in the Wooroonooran National Park where clients have a chance to have another swim
Light afternoon refreshments
18:30 Coach back to Cairns and return to accommodation

Booking fees: Tourism Cairns do not charge any booking fees.

Deposit and final payment: At Tourism Cairns clients are required to pay a deposit only at the time of booking. Final payment is to be completed 48 hours prior to departure or on the day of travel, depending on each tour operator's policy.

Cancellation by the traveller: If the tour is cancelled by the client up to 7 days prior to departure, a full refund is applicable. If the tour is cancelled by the client 7 days prior to departure, the deposit amount might be retained. If the tour is cancelled by the client 48 hours prior to departure, 100% cancellation fee may apply.

Booking amendments: If the date of a tour needs to be changed, Tourism Cairns must be notified in writing by the client up to 48 hours prior to the tour date.
